I was feeling sad and lonely,
wondering why I couldn’t find my “one and only”.
So I went to my computer and logged on to the net,
and there was a message from someone I had never met.
The words were gentle, comforting, and warm,
so I responded thinking – what’s the harm?
We got to know each other very well,
and everything seems to be going just swell.
Even though we live many miles apart,
you have taken up residence in my heart.
Days, then weeks quickly fly by,
I write daily and can’t wait for your reply!
Your poems and your jokes really brighten my day;
you always seem to have something meaningful to say!
So even though our eyes have never met,
